Xbox 25th Anniversary Celebration Expands With New Game Pass Classics, FanFest Tour Dates, Community Themes, and Exclusive Profile Badge

Microsoft has announced another round of updates for the Xbox 25th Anniversary celebration, giving fans new ways to personalize their gaming experience, revisit classic titles, and participate in community events around the world.

The latest announcements include community-created Xbox themes, a limited-edition anniversary profile badge, a curated collection of classic games on Xbox Game Pass, and additional destinations for the Xbox FanFest Tour. The celebration honors 25 years of Xbox and the millions of players who have supported the platform since the launch of the original console.

As part of the anniversary celebration, Microsoft has collaborated with well-known Xbox community creators Klobrille and Ben Kenobi to introduce exclusive customization content.

Players can now personalize their Xbox experience with new gamerpics, dynamic backgrounds, and console themes inspired by Xbox’s history and gaming community. These customization options are available on supported Xbox consoles, while users of the Xbox app on PC can also update their gamerpic and profile theme.

Microsoft is encouraging fans to join the celebration by creating and sharing their own Xbox-inspired artwork and designs using the #Xbox25 hashtag on social media. Community creations may be featured as part of the anniversary campaign.

Microsoft is also rewarding players with a special Xbox 25th Anniversary profile badge.

Anyone who signs in to an Xbox account on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Windows PC, or the Xbox mobile app during the anniversary period can unlock the commemorative badge. The collectible badge allows players to display their participation in the milestone celebration directly on their Xbox profile.

The profile badge will remain available for a limited time, giving Xbox fans an opportunity to add an exclusive anniversary reward to their accounts.

To celebrate Xbox’s gaming legacy, Microsoft has introduced a curated Xbox Game Pass collection featuring games from multiple console generations.

The collection brings together some of the most memorable titles released across the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It gives longtime fans a chance to revisit iconic adventures while introducing newer players to some of the games that helped shape the Xbox brand.

Among the featured titles are:

  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • Fable Anniversary
  • Fallout 4
  • Psychonauts 2
  • Grounded

Microsoft says the curated collection is designed to celebrate the games that defined Xbox throughout its 25-year history and make them easily accessible through Xbox Game Pass on console and PC.

The Xbox FanFest Tour is also expanding with additional international events.

The global tour brings Xbox players together through community gatherings, gaming activities, and live celebrations. Microsoft has confirmed the next stops for the tour, which include several major gaming events and cities around the world.

  • Cologne, Germany — August 26 during gamescom
  • Tokyo, Japan — September 17 during Tokyo Game Show
  • London, United Kingdom — September 26

Attendance at each FanFest event will be available through city-specific sweepstakes, giving fans the opportunity to win invitations and take part in local Xbox celebrations.

Microsoft says the Xbox 25th Anniversary celebration is far from over. The company plans to introduce more community events, digital rewards, exclusive experiences, and anniversary content throughout the coming months.

The campaign not only celebrates the history of Xbox but also highlights the players, creators, and developers who have helped build one of the gaming industry’s most recognizable brands.

With new customization features, classic Game Pass collections, worldwide FanFest events, and exclusive anniversary rewards, Microsoft is continuing its year-long celebration by bringing the global Xbox community together while looking ahead to the future of the platform.
